The Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) has announced the appointment of Steven Littlehale, MS, RN, as a committee member to join the prestigious Partnership for Quality Measurement Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review Committee. This committee, known as the PAC-LTC Committee, plays a pivotal role in supporting the Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review (PRMR) process.
The appointment of Steven Littlehale follows a rigorous selection process, with PQM receiving an overwhelming response of over 500 committee nominations from a diverse range of individuals and organizations.
The PRMR process is instrumental in providing valuable recommendations to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). These recommendations focus on the selection of quality and efficiency measures currently under consideration for implementation by HHS, as mandated by Section 3014 of the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) (P.L. 111-148),” which established section 1890A of the Social Security Act. These measures hold the potential to significantly impact various aspects of healthcare, including the Five-Star rating system, surveys, Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) programs, and more.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Steven Littlehale on this well-deserved appointment,” said Marc Zimmet, CEO at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group. “z.Healthcare is committed to advancing Skilled Nursing’s position along the healthcare continuum, a process driven by care but plagued by inconsistent standards. Steven joined ZHSG in 2019 to launch our Quality Innovations program on its mission to rational SNF quality reporting, Five-Star ratings, and survey readiness.”
