Zimmet Healthcare is proud to support the following industry groups:
National Associations
The American Health Care Association is a non-profit federation of affiliate state health organizations, together representing more than 11,000 non-profit and for-profit nursing facility, assisted living, developmentally-disabled, and subacute care providers that care for approximately one million elderly and disabled individuals each day.
For the past 50 years, the LeadingAge mission has been to make America a better place to grow old and we believe our members — not-for-profit providers of care and services — are the ones to make this happen. Never before has the need for a multispecialty, interdisciplinary approach to aging services more important than it is today.
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is an individual membership professional organization representing more than 90,000 member physical therapists (PTs), physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and students of physical therapy. APTA seeks to improve the health and quality of life of individuals in society by advancing physical therapist practice, education, and research, and by increasing the awareness and understanding of physical therapy’s role in the nation’s health care system.
The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) is a trade association founded in the Fall of 1989 by advocates of professional medical services to long term care facilities. NASL now represents the legislative and regulatory interests of approximately 100 companies providing physical, occupational and speech-language pathology therapies, portable x-ray/EKG and ultrasound; health information technology systems; and products such as complex medical equipment; parenteral and enteral supplies, equipment and nutrients; and additional specialized supplies for long term and post-acute care settings nationally.
Founded in 1962, ACHCA is a non-profit professional membership association which provides superior educational programming, professional certification, and career development opportunities for its members.
Guided by the vision that dynamic leadership forges long term health care services that are desired, meaningful, successful, and efficient, ACHCA identifies, recognizes, and supports post-acute and aging services leaders, advocating for their mission and promoting excellence in their profession.
The American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC) is a non-profit membership organization representing more than 14,000 long-term care nurses and healthcare professionals who provide quality care for nursing home residents across the nation. Since our founding in 1999, AANAC has earned the reputation as the premier resource and network for long-term care professionals involved in the RAI/MDS process.
State Associations
The Health Care Association of New Jersey (HCANJ) is a non-profit trade association representing long term care providers who believe that the individuals they serve are entitled to a supportive environment in which professional and compassionate care is delivered. This belief compels HCANJ and its members to advocate for individuals who, because of social needs, disability, trauma, or illness, require services provided in a long term care setting, while also advocating for the long term care provider community.
The Louisiana Nursing Home Association is a non-profit organization representing more than 250 non-profit and for-profit nursing facilities and assisted living communities that care for approximately 30,000 elderly and disabled individuals each day.
The New York State Health Facilities Association/New York State Center for Assisted Living (NYSHFA/NYSCAL) is a member-driven association of providers of long term care services, caring for individuals of all ages in proprietary, not-for-profit, and government-sponsored skilled nursing, post-acute, rehab, adult care and assisted living communities across the state of New York. – See more at: http://www.nyshfa.org/
