Melanie Tribe Scott
VP of Quality and Regulatory Compliance
Melanie Tribe-Scott, BSN, RN, DNS-CT, QCP, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA, serves as the VP of Quality and Regulatory Compliance at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group, where she brings over 30 years of extensive experience in long-term care. Her journey through the field has been diverse, ranging from her early days as a CNA to her later roles in Corporate Clinical Reimbursement. She now leverages this wealth of knowledge to provide consulting services to long-term care facilities.
Melanie holds the esteemed title of Master Teacher with the American Association of Post-Acute Nursing for both the RAC-CT and Advanced courses. She is also a Certified QAPI Professional and holds DNS certification. In addition, she is a dedicated board member of the Post-Acute Care Nurses Education Foundation Board. Her professional background includes valuable experience with Independent Review Organizations (IRO) and Independent Healthcare Monitoring (IHM) organizations.
Melanie’s consulting work with long-term care facilities has yielded positive results, particularly in enhancing RAI systems, quality measures, survey outcomes, and reimbursement. Her passion for education has led her to conduct programs and presentations on a wide range of topics affecting Skilled Nursing Facilities, such as Nursing leadership, Quality Initiatives, the Long-Term Care Survey Process, PDPM, Nursing Documentation, MDS coding, Medicare Coverage, ICD-10, and Quality Measures. She is also known for her authorship of the MDS Expert blog from 2019 to 2021 and has been a regular contributor to AAPACN, McKnight’s, and other professional publications.
Melanie is currently pursuing a dual degree in MSN/MBA at Post University. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from New England Technology and Science Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from the Community College of RI in 1999.
